Placement of dental implants
Dental implants are as artificial tooth roots that can support fixed dentures, removable or total (overdentures or denture on implants). They are made of titanium which is a biocompatible material, ie, is accepted by the body without causing rejection. Surgical time depends from case to case, but on average the installation of an implant takes 30 to 40 minutes. In all cases one should make special examinations of blood and urine and a preoperative CT scan should be done to plan the heights and widths of the implants.
